Zhechka Toteva is a skilled senior software engineer and technical leader at CERN, with over twenty years of experience in software development, configuration management, and system architecture. In her role as the RCS-IT Deputy Engagement Manager, she evaluates computing architecture solutions for the High Energy Physics community, ensuring they meet organisational needs. She designs and develops essential tools for physicists, engineers, and users, leveraging her vast expertise to enhance operations at CERN. Zhechka leads critical projects like the central secret store initiative, utilising her expertise in HashiCorp Vault to enhance security and accessibility. Her leadership extends to high-impact projects such as the CERN Messaging Bus and the CERN Data Centre Shutdown, where her innovative solutions improve inter-service communication and automate power cut management processes. Fluent in English and proficient in French, she remains dedicated to advancing the global scientific community through her work at CERN, making valuable contributions to software systems provisioning for scientific communities.
