Panelist
Ania is a research fellow at the Center of Computational Quantum Physics of the Flatiron Institute in New York, happily playing with interpretable machine learning for science and ultracold platforms for quantum simulations. She defended her joint Ph.D. in physics and photonics in 2022 at the University of Warsaw and ICFO — The Institute of Photonic Sciences in Spain. Before that, Ania earned an MSc in quantum chemistry and a BSc in biotechnology at the University of Warsaw. Next to authoring papers on quantum physics, the theory of machine learning, and machine learning applications in science, she is the first author of the book "Machine Learning in Quantum Sciences" by Cambridge University Press (in press). She is also a 2022 FNP START laureate and one of the selected participants in the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in 2024.
