Marta Gmurek

Prof. Marta Gmurek, an esteemed scholar in Chemical Engineering, is renowned for her groundbreaking research and impactful collaborations promoting Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in STEM. She has been affiliated with Lodz University of Technology throughout her academic career, achieving full professorship in 2023, and currently serving at the Department of Molecular Engineering. Her research forefronts addressing water quality, water reuse technologies and pioneering advanced oxidation techniques. Beyond academia, as a Member of the Polish Young Academy of Polish Academy of Sciences, Prof. Gmurek leads initiatives supporting early-career academics and advocates for Women in Science. Additionally, she spearheads the "Scientific Excellence is Gender-Blind" initiative, promoting gender equality in science.
