Chiara Phillips

Chiara is a Berlin-based geospatial scientist, cartographic designer, and visual communicator driven by the firm belief that maps can inspire climate action and social equity. 

Chiara earned a B.A. (Magna Cum Laude) in Geography/Environmental Studies with minors in Food Studies and Geospatial Information Systems and Technology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2019. Post-graduation, Chiara led multiple geospatial research teams at NASA DEVELOP, focusing on enhancing environmental decision-making processes for stakeholders around the globe. After NASA, Chiara assessed global crop conditions using international crop statistics, satellite imagery, weather-based scientific datasets, and field-collected data for USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. Today, as a Solutions Engineer at Seqana, Chiara uses GIS, remote sensing, and machine learning methodologies to help customers quantify the impact of their regenerative land management decisions. At the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit, Chiara will shed light on the booming potential of geospatial technology in creating actionable climate solutions.
