Aleksandra combines her professional experience from non-profit and business environments, focusing her interest on private climate finance in the land-use sector.
She is a graduate of interfaculty Studies in Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow and Mathematics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
After a few years of experience in an engineering company, she moved to Guatemala to join De la Gente – an organization supporting smallholder specialty coffee
producers. While helping farmers access international markets, Aleksandra developed a deep interest in agriculture. After her return to Poland, she worked for a
certification body specializing in forest and agricultural land management. Currently, at Wetlands Conservation Center Aleksandra coordinates the development
of the Polish certification scheme for GHG emissions reduction from peatland rewetting “Bagna dla przyszłości”. She is also involved in Landscape Enterprise
Networks – a project financing nature-based initiatives for resilient agricultural landscapes. She is always keen to exchange with landowners and managers to learn
their perspectives and try find common solutions.
