Katarzyna Rycerz

Katarzyna Rycerz received her PhD in computer science from UvA, Amsterdam in 2006. Currently works as assistant professor at the Insitute of Computer Science and at ACK Cyfronet AGH, Krakow, Poland. Katarzyna is a co-author of over 50 international publications in the area of distributed computing, environments for multiscale simulations, quantum computing simulation and support for scientific applications. She was involved in the EU ICT projects: CrossGrid (as a Architecture Team member), CoreGRID and MAPPER (as a WP leader) as well as EuroHPC PL project under the umbrella of EuroHPC JU (as the task leader). Her interests include using quantum algorithms for solving optimisation problems emerging in HPC and Clouds. She is also interested in quantum games.
