Åsa Lavéno

Åsa is a well-versed leader with more than 20 years of automotive experience from Volvo Cars in several senior project and line management positions within research and development, mainly from SW, System and Function design within Active Safety and Autonomous Drive but also from Complete Vehicle Engineering and Integration.

She started off her carrier in audio design and voice signal processing at Ericsson to move on to do some years as a tech consultant in computational acoustics before joining Volvo Cars. When joining Volvo she started in testing and verification moving forward to complete vehicle engineering and then Active Safety and AD. Åsa is driven by her curiosity for bringing tech innovation into practice for everyday life. To really be part of transforming how we live for a better sustainable tomorrow. She likes to engage and practically contribute to tech solutions and the team’s success.

Åsa is currently leading the SW engineering operations and SW program execution cross Volvo Cars Engineering. Ensuring quality SW content is delivered timely to each program and to our end customers. Do bring efficiency, adequate process is intrinsically developed at the same time.
