Irene Fernández de Fuentes

Dr. Irene Fernández de Fuentes is a Postdoctoral Researcher at QuTech, a research institute for quantum computing and quantum internet in the Netherlands. She completed her PhD at UNSW under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Morello, specializing in semiconductor spin qubits, particularly working with implanted donors in silicon. Her scientific interest lies in engineering nano-electronic devices that serve as testbeds for novel quantum phenomena. Her research now focuses on studying quantum many-body effects in multi-qubit semiconductor dot devices. 

As part of her scientific activities, Irene co-founded Quantum Women, a professional network of current and emerging women in Quantum technology and related fields, with a clear mission: to help every female in the field achieve their full professional potential.
