In 2022, fresh out of TU Delft with a Computer Science degree, specializing in deep learning, I embarked on my journey at IMC as a junior software engineer. While captivated by deep learning, I yearned for the dynamic pace and collaborative spirit of software engineering. IMC's swift and challenging interview process, coupled with the opportunity to explore the world of finance, enticed me. At IMC, I underwent intensive training followed by a year of hands-on engineering, guided by a mentor. Evolving into a seasoned software engineer, I embraced escalating responsibilities, from resolving intricate issues to spearheading projects. Beyond coding, I facilitated team onboarding, cultivated knowledge exchange among peers, and enriched our platform systems. Within my current team, our focus lies in volatility alpha development, empowering traders and quants in research pursuits. Our aim? Uncovering the elusive alpha to drive informed trading decisions. With a tight-knit yet dynamic team, we shoulder substantial responsibilities, ensuring each endeavor is both challenging and impactful.
