Krzysztof Gawkowski

Krzysztof Gawkowski is a politician and social activist. Holds a Ph.D. in humanities and completed postgraduate studies in labour law at the University of Warsaw. From 2002 to 2010, he served as a councillor in the Wołomin City Council. From 2010 to 2014, he was a councillor in the Provincial Assembly. Since 2019, he has been a Member of the Polish Sejm representing the Bydgoszcz constituency. A member of the Sejm's Committee on Digitisation, Innovation, and Modern Technologies. From 2019 to 2023, he was the Chairman of the Left Parliamentary Club. Since 2021, he has been the vice-chairman of the New Left party. An academic lecturer and expert in the field of national cybersecurity. From 2015 to 2020, he was a member of the technical committee of the Polish Committee for Standardization. He is the author of numerous scientific articles and monographs on new technologies, digitisation, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, including the book "Cybercolonialism," which was awarded by the Polish Information Processing Society. He is a husband and father of three children. Additionally, he is a crime writer, sports fan, and enthusiastic photographer.
