Lydia Chatziioannou

Hello! I’m Lydia, an Engineering Manager at Netflix, where I lead a dynamic team of frontend and backend software engineers. My role involves not only driving technical innovation but also nurturing a diverse team to achieve exceptional results. I am deeply invested in shaping strategic initiatives that reflect the change I wish to see in our organization.

Before joining Netflix, I was based in London, UK working at major entertainment companies such as Sky, NOW TV, and NBCUniversal’s Peacock, which has solidified my background predominantly in the entertainment technology space. I started as a backend engineer, transitioned into frontend and ended up being an Engineering Manager.

Outside my professional responsibilities, I serve as the co-leader of the Women @ Netflix Employee Resource Group (ERG) in Warsaw. I am also an active participant in non-profit initiatives, including UK's Coding Black Females, where I provide mentorship aimed to help women get into tech.
