Szymon Klarman

Szymon is a knowledge architect and an R&D specialist working extensively with semantic technology, knowledge graphs, and symbolic AI. At S&P Global Commodity Insights, he’s leading a knowledge engineering team and strategy, dedicated to bringing the vision of de-siloed, connected and machine-understandable data to life. Before joining the corporate world, he obtained his PhD in artificial intelligence at the VU University Amsterdam, followed by a series of academic, consultancy and startup engagements. Having lived in 5 countries, travelled 30 or so more, and conquering a new (parental) territory these days, he’s a true believer in diversity, remote work, sharing open data, and the idea that “a little semantics, goes a long way”…
