Ana Duarte

Ana leads the Solution Development Center located in Lousado, Portugal. As part of the Continental Tires, the Solution Development Center consists of a multi-disciplinary team where people from different backgrounds such as IT, Engineering or Industrial Engineering work together. The main vision of the team is to develop and industrialize solutions which will allow to improve the daily work of the shopfloor activities in all Continental Tire plants. More than 30 people are part of SDC and work in cross-functional teams ensuring the developed solutions are designed to fit the requirements of Business, Engineering and IT. 

For more than 11 years working at Continental, Ana had the possibility to be part of different areas such as Innovation, IT, Continuous Improvement, where she was fortunate to acquire knowledge about the tire industry and internal processes. Ana holds a Master in Industrial Engineering and Management from Porto University and had an international experience while studying in the Netherlands and working in Germany. Ana believes that technical innovations should have the focus to create value to the organization and people part of it.
