Filipa Castro

Filipa plays a pivotal role in establishing and steering innovative AI solutions across the value chain of tires. Her mission is to demystify AI concepts and foster a culture of AI adoption, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and product quality. With a strong foundation in computer vision, deep learning and generative AI, Filipa brings a deep technical perspective to her cross-functional work with business, engineering and data science. 

Prior to joining the automotive industry, Filipa helped develop AI-based solutions for the subsea environment. She holds an Integrated Masters in Bioengineering from the University of Porto, complemented by international study experiences in the UK and the Netherlands. Beyond her professional endeavors, Filipa belongs to the Lead Team of Data Science for Social Good Portugal, a community of data enthusiasts who focus on empowering non-profit social organizations to leverage their data effectively and augment their impact.  

Filipa's unique blend of technical expertise, leadership in AI strategy, and commitment to social good positions her as a forward-thinking leader in the field of artificial intelligence.
