Dan Bennett

As Head of Technology & Data for S&P Commodity Insights, Dan is responsible for the end-to-end platforms, innovations, data science and operations that the division uses to ingest, create, curate, model and deliver data to our customers and internal users.

Previously, Dan was Chief Data Officer for the division, is responsible for defining and implementing a unified data strategy for the business which includes setting standards for data governance and quality. Dan oversees centralized data operations, data science, internal product application management and software engineering. 

Prior to S&P, Dan was at Castlelake, L.P., a global private investment firm where he was CTO/CIO, leading all aspects of technology and facilities with a global team, contractors and managed service providers. 

Dan counts 25+ years’ experience in technology leadership, system architecture and design on a variety of platforms and projects and extensive experience in systems and data modeling in multiple technologies. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence from The University of Leeds, UK.
